Safety training in schools for pupils

BUSK writes bespoke training courses for school pupils and has gained much experience of delivering safety training in schools for pupils of all age groups, both in mainstream and SEN.  BUSK has documented evidence that it’s training programme has changed the attitudes of pupils significantly giving them a completely different outlook of their own personal safety and general perception of the safety of others. We make our training sessions in school interesting, informative and fun. BUSK often works alongside the Fire & Rescue Services to help children and young people understand clearly whey they need to belt up. We make pupils think about safety in a completely different way.  It is about changing their attitudes to their own personal safety and to that of other people they travel with.  The best way of ensuring that young people belt up on a journey is to alter their attitude so they want to use a belt and not because they are made to.  Changing a young person's outlook in this respect is a significant way to improve road safety.

Equally important is our safety courses for head teachers and school governors that assist schools in making their transport arrangements for pupils whether for home to school runs, UK day trips or visits abroad. Please see page entitled 'Training for teachers, heads and governors'.
